Dear supporters and friends of Starkmacher Impact,
An eventful year, 2024, is drawing to a close, and we would like to take this opportunity to reflect with you our successful efforts and share a glimpse of what lies ahead in the coming year. Above all, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to all of you.
Looking Back at 2024 – A Year of Milestones
The past year has been one of growth, new social impact projects, and expanding our global engagement at Starkmacher Impact:
1. Journey to the Amazon, Óbidos
We had the opportunity to visit local communities in the Amazon region and support sustainable projects on-site. This journey reinforced the urgency of protecting natural resources and strengthening local partnerships.
2. Establishment of New SMI Hubs
Alongside our existing hub in Brazil, we successfully established new hubs in Kenya and the Philippines. These regional centers enhance our local presence and enable us to support our partners in Africa and Asia more effectively.
3. New Projects in Egypt, Rwanda, the Philippines, and Kenya
- In Egypt, we launched a pioneering project in organic agriculture.
- In Rwanda, we supported the construction of an office building in Ruhengeri, which will serve as a local hub for sustainable development and collaboration.
- In the Philippines, we initiated a solar energy project that powers a vocational training carpentry workshop in Manila with renewable energy.
- In Nairobi, Kenya, the solar installation at Tangaza University was completed, marking another milestone in advancing renewable energy for educational institutions.
4. Introduction of the Giving Fund
Together with Trust Bridge and Sinngeber, we developed a new global financing concept to explore innovative ways of supporting our projects.

This success would not have been possible without your help. A special thanks goes to the Archdiocese of Cologne, especially the Department for World Church and Dialogue under the leadership of Nadim Ammann and his team. Your dedicated support once again encouraged us this year to forge new paths and advance our projects sustainably.
We are also grateful to our partners and clients worldwide who work with us, place their trust in us, and look forward to new projects. We would like to give special recognition to the communities in Jordan, Lebanon, Guatemala, and Angola. We are convinced that our joint commitment to Impact³ – ecological transformation for social progress and successful investments – will bear fruit and inspire many more partners.
A deep and heartfelt thank-you goes to the many volunteers in Germany and around the world. You invest your time, energy, and skills in our work, contributing to making this world a more peaceful and greener place. Your dedication inspires us every single day.
Looking Ahead to 2025 – Goals and Plans
With this momentum, we are looking forward to the challenges and opportunities of the coming year:
- We plan to expand our hubs so that they can independently acquire and implement new projects.
- We aim to strengthen our collaboration with companies committed to CSR in the Global South. Together, we will implement sustainable projects through our Revolving Fund.
- We aspire to open new project markets in the Global South to continue delivering sustainable and social impact.
